The sixth home on the Palm Springs Modern Home tour was the Ship of the Desert designed by Erle Webster and Adrian Wilson in 1936. This home is simply a work of art. The theme of a ship is seen throughout the home’s design, whether it be in its external walkways between bedrooms or curving, bow-like shapes. Now, this does not make for the most practical of homes but, my, is it stunning. It is good every once and a while to see people just go for the art.
