Photos: Crashing at the SCCA Regional

This page is now hosted on my photo site, andyhenryphoto.com.

Auto racing is a dangerous sport. Driving quickly around slithering tracks with aggressive compatriots can be a recipe for crunching of bodywork. The following photos are of an oops. Three cars were bunched up, lap after lap. Then they came upon a slower car. The first two cars passed on the outside. The third decided on a different path. The slower car may have been focused on the two cars passing on the outside, and pulled to the inside to give room. Unfortunately the track was only so wide and the inside path morphed into one through the tires.

(FYI, the driver walked away and the damage to the car seemed to be fairly mild.)
