The bard doth proclaim:
I rode my horse to town today and a gaspump we did pass
I pulled him up and I hollered whoa and I said fill him up with gas
The man picked up a monkey wrench and wham he changed my tune
You got me chasin’ rabbitts spittin’ out teeth and howlin’ at the moon
Indeed, Hank. Indeed.
You can’t necessarily tell from this tiny photo but this guy is incredible. He does something that is very important when photographing buildings: actually taking in the surrounds in which the buildings sit. So many architectural photographs you see are nothing more than close-ups of wood and stone sculpture. Architecture should transcend that as it is art that serves a purpose. By giving his subjects the room they need he shows how they work and in so doing gives us an understanding of the whole picture.
Great stuff.
Dan Aykroyd: a comedy legend’s spiritual side – Telegraph.
A really excellent interview with Mr. Aykroyd with my favorite paragraph being:
Aykroyd’s belief in the afterlife has been with him since childhood. His great grandfather was both a spiritualist and a dentist (“back then it was without anaesthetic”), and his father – an apparently practical man who bought his son a lawnmower for his 12th birthday – wrote an encyclopedic book on the subject, A History of Ghosts.

Fireman Sam creator under fire for racist remark at airport | Herald Sun.
Ah, yes, yet another story of asinine behavior from the island of Orwell. My favorite part is that the thought police’s requirement for being released was an apology. This is not uncommon for thought crime. You must be re-educated when you hold unpopular views! Renounce your evil ways, sinner!
But it also must be remembered that Britain did let a terrorist flee its soil by simply wearing a burka. Perhaps when confronted with such treatment in the future he should just throw that scarf over his head and play the part of the aggrieved minority. Seems to get you through security with less hassle.
What is really terrible is that these “newscasters” have completely misread the 2022 Olympic exhibition sport, Baby Twirling, as something horrifying. Since the dawn of mankind, babies have been used in all types of tossing situations. For example the medieval song Ring Around the Rosie was actually a song about throwing a baby on the roof to recover a lost frisbee.
Much like celebrities do commercials in Japan–where the commercial stigma does not exist–they also do modeling work for textbook covers in the Balkins.
